We prayed Salah on the Avenue Paulista, opposite Sao Paulo Museum of Art. This is one of the main landmarks of the city and is the spot from where protests start in Sao Paulo. We were not protesting but openly practicing our religion, many Brazilians walking passed started to look at us. Praying outside is great simple way of giving dawah. We are physically showing them that we submit to the Creator of all the worlds.

Take care to do your prayers, praying in the best way, and stand before Allah in devotion. Quran 2:238

Beautiful picture. :’)It is so sad that many good people will celebrate their good fortune, and at the same time have absolutely no clue as to what pain and misery those events caused to others. They assume the propaganda they heard and read is true. Intelligent, good people actually believe all the displaced Palestinians left voluntarily because they hated Jews and refused to live with them!!!! They really believe this. „,including the majority of IDF soldiers of today’s generation. They all believe the fairy tale, as the truth just “can not be true”As one highly intelligent lady I know, love, and respect, who served in the IDF, who is generous and has a heart of gold said, “Come on, Avi. Don’t believe the hate talk. Jews would never do those mean, cruel things”. And she really believes that. She is disgusted by the fact that I can take the side of the Palestinians. And she is a good person, not a monster at all. If all people were like her, there would never be wars. But she believes the Israeli propaganda.

Anna Jarvis founded mothers’ day in 1905 after her mother passed away, but in 1920, she started fighting the holiday to bring it down until she died in 1948. WHY?!! Lets go back 96 years ago!

When Anna was celebrating the holiday publicly at the church for the first time in 1908 , many, church members, people and leaders stood against her. For example, the senator at that time, Jacob Gallinger, considered making one day for mothers an insult to mothers, calling it “absolutely absurd” because in his own words “”Every day with me is a mother’s day.”

Through heavy campaigning, she was able to market the holiday nation-wide, until it was printed on a postal stamp and became ultra popular. But soon after, she started to realize that all the companies and business owners who supported her campaign did so to make profits out of the holiday, especially flower companies, and including even religious groups who started to make profits by excessive and unnecessary fundraising. It was no longer about mothers!

By 1920, she realized her mistake, and started a counter-campaign, going as far as begging people not buy gifts on mothers day, but after 28 years of trying, she was not successful, and today, mother’s day is a $20,000,000,000 dollar business just in the USA. Now I won’t say every day is a mother day, because every breath that comes out of you is owed to the woman who without her after Allah, you would not exist today, may Allah help us to truly honour our mothers the way our Prophet peace be upon him taught us to honour them!
